Submited By: F. Martinelly on 01/02/2007 My wife's 50th birthday was earlier this month, I wanted to make a photo album using my computer and some of our precious photo memories. I was able to scan old photos–ones I'd dare not try and paste in–along with some of our recent digital pictures from our 30th wedding anniversary trip to Alaska. My wife was so surprised! Now we are ordering the refill pages to add in photos from her birthday party. My wife wants to get a scanner and (they are easy to use) and scan all of our old photos. The Olde Tyme Photo Album for Digital Printing was a very good gift choice!
At first I thought that the pages would be loose, but they are very secure and easily attachable. The Olde Tyme Photo Album for Digital Printing pages are standard 8 1/2 by 11 inches so they fit right in my inkjet printer. It doesn't take any special software, although you could use any "word processor" or "art program" if you wanted, because you are just printing as usual. I did use a "word processor" to get the images on the page exactly like I wanted, and I used my neighbor's scanner to scan the old photos, as well as my digital camera's included software. Rather than run the albums pages through the printer immediately I did practice using regular sheets of paper first (as they are the same size). When I got a page how I wanted it, I printed it out on the Olde Tyme Photo Album for Digital Printing pages. Be sure and choose the "landscape" printing option on your computer. The album paper is nice and the images printed very realistically (so much better than on the test pages).
